I’m an experimental multidisciplinary artist exploring how we sense ourselves and each other in the world. 
My work investigates the hidden threads between internal experience and collective life — the ways attention, presence, and perception shape not only how we feel, but how we act, respond, and take responsibility. 
I create immersive spaces that ask us to notice the rhythms, tensions, and alignments of our bodies and the world around us — and to confront our complicity in the systems we inhabit.

At the centre of my practice is SIGNAL, a long-term research architecture and experimental laboratory where bodies and environments meet. 
SIGNAL treats the body as a signalling system and the environment as a field of signals, exploring what happens when these signals converge — sometimes in harmony, sometimes in tension. 
It’s a method for understanding how perception, attention, and state emerge through interaction, and for testing how immersive experience can expand awareness of ourselves and our collective responsibility.

Other projects, installations, and interventions feed into and deepen the SIGNAL ecosystem. They act as experimental laboratories, translating research into lived experience and testing how people inhabit, sense, and respond to complex environments. 
These are not separate from SIGNAL; they are its instruments, probes, and reflections, helping the research ecosystem grow, adapt, and respond to real human experience.


Across all of this, my aim is simple: to reconnect people with themselves, with each other, and with the world they inhabit. 
I use science, systems thinking, and sensory design as tools — making perception tangible, subtle, and shared. 
The work seeks to provoke curiosity, attunement, and reflection, inviting participants to step into their own signals, notice the signals around them, and engage with the space in ways that are both perceptual and ethical.

SIGNAL::SENSE is the embodied interface of the SIGNAL architecture. It transforms research into encounter — an immersive, multi-sensory environment where architecture, sensation, and nervous systems are directly felt. While SIGNAL maps and models perception, SIGNAL::SENSE enacts it: a curated space for observation, attunement, and relational experience.

The installation activates a modular field of stimuli — sound, light, form, texture, and motion—each derived from a corresponding SIGNAL modality. These elements no longer exist in isolation. Instead, they form a responsive system, continuously shaped by the physiological and behavioural states of those who enter.

At its core is a network of sensors and actuators:

Sensors: breath, posture, skin temperature, heart rate, stillness, proximity
Actuators: resonant vibration, light modulation, airflow, warmth, olfactory pulses, kinetic shifts

Together, they form an externalised nervous system—an exoskeletal sensorium that both holds and reflects the internal patterns of visitors. Presence alters the environment: one person exhales and the light shifts; a shared pause slows the room; a spike of stress sharpens it.

SIGNAL::SENSE is not interactive in the conventional sense. There are no buttons, no scripted outcomes. It behaves like a living organism: sensitive, adaptive, interdependent. The space responds not to individuals alone, but to collective state, reflecting it back in subtle, emergent ways.

The goal is not spectacle — it is entanglement. Empathy becomes ambient, perceptible, and shared. Over time, the environment itself morphs: architectural forms shift, meshes contract or loosen, walls breathe, objects resonate. The room becomes a container for transformation—reactive, but not deterministic.

The installation operates across multiple layers:

Ambient Mode: the environment responds passively to biometric and spatial data — light touch, stillness, heat, proximity. No instructions; experience emerges through presence and observation.

Interactive Sessions: timed group experiences trigger layered feedback loops, including:

  • Heart rate synchronisation across participants

  • Mood-based light modulation

  • Collective breathing shaping architectural elements

Cross-Modal States: input from one sensory pathway can be translated into another through computational algorithms:

  • Sound becomes scent

  • Colour becomes temperature

  • Motion becomes texture

These dynamics explore the collapse of sensory boundaries, showing how perceptual states propagate across bodies and modalities.

SIGNAL::SENSE is a space to witness perception in real time—your nervous system and others’. It does not aim to fix, optimise, or prescribe, but to make perceptual processes tangible. It is a system for mutual regulation, relational attunement, and experimental empathy. Its ethics are grounded in perceptual honesty, aesthetic responsibility, and the recognition that shared states carry narrative and affect. While it holds therapeutic potential, it resists determinism, privileging attentiveness, exploration, and the emergent intelligence of collective experience.
